Howdy
Y'all Tims here, hope all is well in your world...so we played last night at Stingers (43rd Ave and Peoria), cool bar
with some cool people hanging out just to watch a band or two and have some fun...pretty good food, they treat the talent
well, like I said a cool bar... anyway we opened and FUKKIN KICKED ASS man we were tight... maybe the fact that we were relatively
sober had something to do with it but we played a killer set, opened with Big Surf, Danny just sizzles on that tune, straight
in to Holocaust which floored em, then High and Lonesome which scared em, then I started havin a really good time so I kinda
forget the song order but I know Dig Your Grave killed and Stupid Love Song had em chair dancin', then I forgot to do Wargasm
(sorry D... like I said we were RELATIVELY sober...) and went right into Ring of Fire and Danny slayed em again, then Ace
of Spades brought down the house... fun Fun FUN!!! We're gettin scary tight ya gotta come and check it out!!! So after us
went our buds Red Crush and they played a rockin ass set...last time I saw them they had a big production show with masks
and blood and stuff, this time no make-up (well, ok, maybe just a hint of mascara, subtly applied...) and I dug it, gave em
a chance to show their musicianship, kinda classed the place up a little... they rocked! Then Former Friends Of Young
Americans went on. I didn't know what to expect from them so I'm eatin' my pizza and they kick off and jeez it sounds pretty
cool so I looks up and these dudes, two guitars and and drums, are totally wrapped in christmas lights (that looks funnier
than it sounds believe me) and I went down front to check em out and thru the lights I recognize one of the guitarists, I
forget his name he jams around town with a lotta bands, his specialty is playing using a bottle, like a slide... so anyway
he's doin his thing tonight and tearin it up, thru the lights I see him squinting and he recognizes me and smiles and nods...
he knows he's got us all in the palm of his hand, its a powerful feeling, controlling a room... a great unspoken moment, awesome,
awesome... so they were rockin and I had to split cuz I had to work at 8am so yeah The Whorechatas were the closer and I've
yet to see their act but I understand it involves several scantily clad people and some pretty rockin music... D stayed, maybe
he'll finish this thing... sooo, a great gig, got another one next weekend CB's (17th Ave and Van Buren) so maybe we'll see
ya there!!! Later!!!
Q-Lounge/Phoenix 9/14 Howdy
Y'all, Tims here...sorry for the late review just woke up...so yeah we did this gig, we were sposed ta open then the recently-signed
punk-chick band My Doll was next then the headliner was some boys outa St. Louis called...I forget, ask D...I'll find out
they were pretty good and really nice kids...anyway My Doll decided to cancel, ironically citing PMS...not really, their just
goin thru a little rough period...oh man I'm killin me...so we stepped up and did a killer long set full a' meaty slabs of
punk goodness (rippin off D) and our own hymns of Love and Death in the Desert...crowd was thin (Monday night) but they dug
it the most...Sean Erroneous of The Declaimed was there with his smokin hot lady and our longtime friends Suzanne and Thomas
and my kid Ian there for a bit so pretty cool, we did our thing and a coupla encore tunes then gave it up to (D please insert
band name here) and the were excellent, rough-poppy punk, nice clean vocals, good energy...did their original stuff then started
fukkin around playin covers, D got up and busted out Folsom Prison and I did Ball and Chain with Sean Erroneous, we tore it
up...looked over at one point and saw Thomas playin drums, so it got pretty loose i guess...anyway a killer Monday night.
Howdy Y'all,
Tims here, hope y'all are well…so lessee, Saturday 8/2 at Donna Jeans Libations (67th Ave and Bell,
Westsiiide baby)…fukkin kickass show dudes, small but ENTHUSIASTIC crowd of cool people…had The Stupors in front
of us they rocked ass, delivered their own unique brand of high-energy pop-punk (think garage-Oingo-Boingo)…is it just
me or is the lead singer built like a fukkin Mac truck?? Now that is a damn handsome man. Go ahead, call me gay ya homophobe.
Anyway they rocked then we went on its all a bit of a blur I was pretty buzzed but I'm told we rocked ass!!! Saw a little
pit startin up and some dude in a cowboy hat kept settin drinks down on the stage for us that was cool, thanx dude…looked
over at Danny at one point cuz everybody was watchin him and he had on some fukking Elvis-Frankenstein mask and was tearin
it up fukkin funny…Travis, the drummer for the Stupors jumped up and sang Blitzkreig Bop and went absolutely nuts along
with the crowd, I broke a string on my 1 guitar about halfway in and another on my 2 later so finished up the set naked…not
really, just without my guitar, so that was fun, got to do my Iggy and Joey impressions…killer fun night, lotsa hot
chicks huggin each other for some reason, yeeeaaaaahhhhhh…it was our own D. Tease's birthday, or close, as well
as Danny Boy's wife Deb's birthday so lotta folks there for that and they were PARTY-IN'…cant wait ta go
back, Donna Jean is one hot mama and the room is killer, nice sound and great PA, nice stage…I think we're
back there end of Sept check the sched…time for me ta hit the ol' trail, see ya at the next show!!! Bring some
hot chicks who like ta hug each other!! Later!! 6/1/08 Obriens, Glendale...FUUUUHHHHKKKKKIIINNNNAAAAA... what an awesome
gig. We SUCKED and the crowd LOVED EVERY SUCKING SECOND OF IT !!! Aaah, what the fuck, our second gig with Terry on drums,
PA went down at one point, Tims fukking obliterated, THEY STILL LOVED IT!!! House was PACKED, at one point the bartender came
on stage and announced that they were OUT OF GLASSES AT THE BAR!! Thats definitely a first fer us!! Kudos to Tommy with I-10
West (cool band) who does the booking and promotion for O'briens, thanx bro...lessee, right before us was Madd Dogg Tannen,
fun luvvin bunch, PARTY band, kinda ska-punky, had a sax and and a trombone, VERY cool...as D says, "I dont recall ever
being that spunky..."...before them was The Numpty's, another of our favorite local bands, they ALWAYS do a clean,
professional show, killer rockabilly-punky vibe, tight as a damn drum, check out their new "Lost Souls", I think
thats the name, track on their Myspace it fukkin rocks...anyway no lives were lost and the casualties well below average,
everybody got home safely TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY!!! KEEP THE FAITH MY FRIENDS, WE'LL BE BACK SOOOOOOOON!!! WEsTSiiiiiiiDe!!!
Hey
Y'all Tims here all recovered from the juggernaught that was The Relics this past weekend, man kind of a blur but lessee...
Saturday night (4/26) at The Rogue West in Phx/Glendale was fucking awesome, hands down our best gig... awesome crowd, drunk
hot chicks onstage singin, beer and bottles all over the floor, dudes slammin, drunk hot chicks slammin, about halfway thru
the set I see one of our little stage light units spinnin across the floor, smokin like a chimney but fortunately it flipped
in to a beer puddle so on with the show!!! Just a killer good time was had by all, Bomb Threat opened things up good old-fashioned
punk noize, lead singer Derek is crazy and really brings the show... then our buds The Stupors did a tight set as always,
we luv their Boingo-esque shenanigans... we went on around 12:30 to a crowd that needed RELEASE and baby they got it, opened
with Holocaust, then we had Travis, drummer for the Stupors, come up and sing Blitzkrieg Bop he killed and man the party was
on... we ripped and tore thru originals and covers, tried to close with Ace but they wanted MORE!!!, stumbled thru... shit
I dont remember but I know we closed with God Save The Queen the place went nuts!!! That was it, killer show, hope ta
be back soon!! 4/24/08
Martini Ranch Scottsdale: Killer club, killer sound, 2 patrons. We rocked ass.
1/4/08 The Ruby Room Phoenix Cool gig with The Amputations I dig em the most, really
cool disjointed hard rock, also The Montresors more Indie nice and clean, and ray Reeves who's, uhhhmm, pretty wild punk-noise
not for the faint of heart or those requiring a discernable melody but he does it from the heart...anyway we rocked ass, no
real problems other than a hot stuffy stage I (Tims) was soaked in 5 minutes everybody else too I suppose but anyway the thin
crowd seemed to dig us had some friends and relatives in the house so had fun, sounded good, a fun gig!!!
1/20???:
The Haunted Castle Tempe forgot about this one, not our greatest performance, or at least I felt I didnt to to well and I'm
told at times the sound was rough but hey any gig ya can walk away from is a good one right??? Ya know who did rock was The
Cliche' Id's man these girls are fun to watch, cute-as-a-button little girl bangin drums and screamin like a crazy
person, another cutie on guitar doin the wide-eyed-innocent thing and their bass players rig will blow ya thru the wall, they
were awesome!! Crowd response: D-...yeah, not the most appreciative crowd, we didnt do any better, maybe a bad fit or just
a bad night...go see the Id's!!!

12/1/07 Club Red/The Red Owl Tempe ALRIGHT ALREADY!!! So I'm a
week or 10 days late with this review, what can I say...so this was a cool gig got ta open for The Dollyrots cuz their awesome
and Tattooed Millionaires outa L.A. good glammy punky shit, and as if that werent enough there was one of our local heroes
Glass Heroes who are fucking tight man, they played a smokin set...we rocked as hard as anyone tho I'm told, some sound
problems early but no meltdowns (see review of our last gig) and they all dug us we debuted our new song "Holocaust"
kinda kicked it around a bit but still pretty good, everyone seemed to dig it but man I was disappointed in the low turnout,
not so much for us cuz we're used to it but for the bands from L.A.,,,maybe not enough promo or whatever but anyway pretty
cool gig just for the company if nothing else!!!
11/12 Smokeys Bar and Grill, Mesa -Well lesse where do I start...somehow
this was simultaneously the worst and best show we've ever played. We show up and listen to some struumy shit while havin
a drink, then this cool band called Heavy Mellow goes on and their pretty good but the crowd is givin em nuthin so we go on
and rip thru "Now I Wanna Be Your Dog" and "Loose". When we stop we hear, "Oh Sweet Baby Jesus your
too loud and I shit myself!! Turn down, I'm melting, melting" so we turn down and do somethin else and when we get
done they're still cryin and sobbin and the bartender yells "YOU SUCK!!!" and Tims yells back "were you
lookin in yer mamas window last nite little girl?" and she freaks and starts screamin and callin the owner and shit so
we turn down a little more to whisper/elevator music level and play another tune and Tims says "fuck it, one more",
we launch in to Ring Of Fire and Tims turns both guitar amps up to 10 its just fucking gloriosly deafening and awesome, then
its over and they want to kill and eat us so we split then a fat lesbian comes out and gets in her car and tries to run over
Tims but hits his '78 Electra MPC instead so he takes off runnin down Gilbert road after her but theres a bunch of cops
pullin somebody over so that was it, rock and roll baby!!!
11/9 The Ruby Room -First gig with Cliffy, our
original touring drummer back beatin the skins! Went OK, got bumped back fore the prima-donna lead singer of a shitty band
called Curium, the dude makes a big scene about what time he goes on then he SUCKS!!! Pretty funny if I didnt have to sit
and listen to his yowlin ass. Anyway we were pretty good, coupla new-guy-on-drums flubs but pretty good considerin we hadnt
played all together in a year. Thanx Cliffy!! Usual sparse crowd, American Idol reruns or something on tonight I guess.
9/22,23 BLACK MTN. BMX TRACK, N.PHX. -First gig with Donnie Deville on drums, he KICKED ASS!!! WE ALL KICKED ASS!!!
Actually a little ruff, Tims all nervous and in a hurry, poor Donnie gasping for breath in 105 F heat and Tims keeps yellin
"ONE-TWO-THREE-FOUR!!!..." @#^&&#**^(#$@!!!!, but he's a trooper and one HELLUVA drummer you should
go to a gig just ta see this dude he's awesome...some tech problems the first day, but it was ok musically all things
considered, a good "knock the rust off" kinda thing, just awesome ta get out and play again...met the lead singer
of The Voodoo Glow Skulls and a writer for Metal Edge mag who said he'd do a review on us so that was cool...
7/10 D tells me we played somewhere with some other bands somewhere in June or July sooooo,...yeaaaahhhhh......come to gig
and ask D how we did. Who played drums D?
5/8 J-Heads.....we killed and ate a coupla dudes... 5/1 J-heads.......we
cooked egg rolls. 4/28 Artstagesound...The still moon and piercing night sky
cast a cold reckoning upon my soul...
4/24 J-Heads...we rocked again.
4/11 J-Heads...we rocked.
3/27 Jugheads -Fun nite, the boys sounded good, as usual Tims a little unstable but pulled off a rockin performance, the
whole band looked great onstage, lots of energy and movement, few mistakes or tech problems, nuthin broken, nobody pissed
off at us...pretty good nite! Tanya booked us for every Tuesday in April, we're gonna promote like hell and ramp up the
show, see if we cant get some biz in there Tuesdays.
2/23 Jugheads -Showed up at 9 for a 10 show got rushed on
and rushed off between some metal bands, have to ask someone else how we were I dont even remember playing it was so quick...I
split to bang my head against a wall but D hung out and met some cool folks apparently.
1/17/07 Jugheads...this was a weird one, Cliffy hurt his back so we had our bud Opie Cakebread
sit in on drums, lots of wacky mayhem ensued, lotsa false starts and stops and improv...it was fucking awesome!!! I had a
KILLER time!! Nooo crowd, just our faithfull and a few drunks but as usual we jammed like there were 10,000 out there...all
for the love of rock n roll, right? Damn straight. Takin a little sabatical here to get this drummer thing settled.
1/3/07-Joe's Grotto, Phoenix -Recipe for a fucked up show...arrive
early at an unfamiliar venue. Have lead singer begin drinking heavily. Try to be a nice guy and let the kid who's band
goes on in front of ya who just blew his amp head up in soundcheck borrow yer amp head and fuck with all the settings and
forget to change them back. Pour more liquor down lead singer. Get set up ready ta go, look out at 119 empty seats. Launch.
Have lead guitar drop out immediately with tech problems. Add remaining liquor. Jam a coupla tunes somewhat properly, then
have inebreated rhythm guitar unknowingly step on his wah pedal, adding a nice howl to the mix for the rest of set. Have now-running
lead guitar drop out again. Have club owner yell "one more" when you've got two left. Do the one, have some
ghost in the back yell "one more!!!", launch in to intended last song with fucked up, confused, pissed off lead
singer who forgets the words. Bake at 900 degrees for 21 minutes, remove from premesis to cool.
12/23/06 Fatcats,
Phoenix -Fun show, opened for The Ravones, a Ramones tribute (duh) band, they wear wigs and stuff and if yer buzzed enough
they look and sound just like 'em! They were great, hope to do alot more with em.Our set went great, real loose, Vic pretty
buzzed, D apparently pretty buzzed as he almost tumbled off the rather high stage a coupla times, club owner Jimmy jumped
up and did vocals on a song, I forget which one, we sounded great says our krew. Small crowd, Holidays and all I guess, but
we had a killer time!!!
| That looKs aBout riGht.. |

12/13/06 Jugheads -Killer show!! Jugheads fucking rocks! I knew we'd have a better show
than last week, we're more at home here than anywher, thanx Tanya, Zack, Tracy, and everybody at Juggies!! I'm writing
this review a few days later so I dont remember alot of specifics, we got pretty looped before the show or at least I did,
I just remeber few mistakes, minimal equipment problems, lots of applause and hollerin', pretty cool!!! Tanya booked us
for two more shows, got a gig at Fatcats with the Ravones, pretty cool night! Oh yeah, saw this band called Garnet, they rock,
chick singer who does a swing-ballet thing in a pioneer dress and combat boots, bass player is monster, guitarist wild, go
see 'em!
12/7/06 Cypress Lounge -Kind of an off gig. Disappointing cuz it was our first show on the
West side, our home stompin grounds. Donno what the problem was, the crowd didnt seem to interested, by the end of the set
most of 'em were watching fucking bumfights on the tv, kinda fucked up...I thought we played ok, a few fuckups but no
train wrecks or anything, someone just sucked, either us or them...fuck it, we'll get 'em next time. We're back
at Juggies next week, we always do well there.
Jugheads, 10/18/06 Phoenix AZ, Earth 1 -Rippin' show!!! Got to play 2 sets, between them was a band
outa DC called The Points, they rocked, really nice kids, look for them on MySpace...then after us was a dude called "Paige
The Villiage Idiot", he's fucking hilarious, he plays acoustic and sings stupidly intelligent songs about Phoenix,
try and catch him around town.
Our sets went great, first time we've done them both at a gig, some of the
tunes we hadnt practiced for a while and it showed, but we just kept on rockin like an avalanche comin down the mountain!
The last half of the 2nd set was intense, Sonic Reducer, Blitzkreig Bop, and Pinhead just rocked, ten minutes of fury and
sweat, fucking excellent!!! Then crowd-pleasers Ring of Fire and Ace of Spades to close out the night to thunderous applause,
Thank you and Goodnite!!! Well, thunderous may be a bit much, but everybody dug it.
Tanya, the owner of Juggies,
saw the first set and tracked me down after and told me she dug the show and wanted to book us some more thru the end of the
year, fuckin' a !!! So all-in-all a damn good night for a Wednesday.
11/8/06 Jugheads -Whoo mama,
what a night!! The band absolutely KICKED ASS!!! Mic's knocked over, some chick passed out on stage, rowdy ass crowd,
it was awesome!! Our original bass player Todd had his band The Pugilistics there ahead of us, they rocked, lotsa songs about
beer and fuckin' really got the crowd goin', thanx guys...our set, like I said, KICKED ASS!!! A couple of minor equipment
problems but nothing we couldnt fix real quick...Todds peeps really supported us, a little mosh pit, the drunk-chic-passed-out-on-the-stage
prop was cool (she was OK, just fucking wasted, Juggies management removed her and made sure she was ok...), buncha young
folks diggin' the old punks...the band behind us, The Icy Core Of Jupiter, really nice bunch of kids, all blazin'
I'm pretty sure, were really supportive as well, thanx y'all...these kids are somthin different, really spacey-artsy
jam rock, Zappa-esque, pretty out there, but they do it with balls and are totally into it, a tip o the hat to 'em, good
set...then Page The Village Idiot came on to close with his funny-ass political satire, Eric, a resident drum fiend at Juggies,
played drums behind Page and it was cool as hell...we hung out, gave out some shirts, had a cool-ass time...again, not bad
for a Wednesday!!! Jugheads rocks!!!
11/10/06 Jugheads -Decent show, tough, hard-drinkin metal crowd, paid
$6 and full price for beer, didnt seem to be in the best mood, not just for us, they were pretty surly with everyone...anyway,
our set went ok, Danny's rig crapped out during Ring of Fire, at the same time Tims broke a string so he coundnt do much
to help, fucked city...finished the tune, repaired the rig, switched guitars, forgot where the fuck we were, started in to
Blitzkreig Bop at about half speed, Cliffy finally got pissed and banged out a proper, if not a bit aggressive, beat for us
to pick up on and we finished the set without any more problems. I like the cheap-cover $1 beer Wednesday nite crowd better.
Gonna take a month or so off here to hone our chops, learn some new songs,
spend Thanksgiving with the families, etc...next gig: The Relics Invade The West Side, D-Day 12/7 at The Cypress Lounge 5944
W. Bethany Home Rd. Glendale !!!
